Ok,
For all the people that are new to console and rcon i'm going to show you a few commands that could come in handy.
To begin with, go to your Halo Icon on your Desktop, right click it, then go to properties, then go to Target, then put a space at the end of the line and put -console. After this open Halo. Then start a server.
To open the console press the ~, to close it press the ~ key again.
First off, your basic kick command,
rcon # sv_players
then
rcon # sv_kick #
Now here are some different ways you can ban,
rcon # sv_players
Then
rcon # sv_ban #
Now sv_ban # will ban the person forever, you want to use this for people that are hacking and other serious things.
Now for those annoying people that keep cussing even when you tell them to stop, heres what ya do,
rcon # sv_players
Then
rcon # sv_ban # 2d
Ok what i've done there is i've given them a 2 day ban, you can set the time you want them to be banned.
s= second
m= minute
h= hour
d= day
w= week
y= year
Just put the s,m,h,d,w,m,y after the sv_ban # and put the number of days or weeks or whatever you feel is neccissary.
Ok now when your on a map changing server and you are really tired of it and so is everyone else...your in luck!
rcon # sv_map_next
Just type that command in and away you go.
Now for something very important,
Your console WILL NOT work in Sidewinder, it's a glitch that bungie never fixed, it disables all commands so your stuck there till the game is over.
Well I hope that this has helped some of you guys wondering what the hell to do.
Now if you still don't understand, I will hold a little workshop if the need be, and then after that if you STILL don't understand, well you can just go shoot yourself because you have failed at life.
This concludes, The Various uses of the kick/ban command and use of rcon.
And also tune in next time for, Holy $HIT is he hacking, or do I just suck.
Lataz.
